In this publication we highlight the main points of attention that play a role in collaborating with intangible heritage communities on exhibitions. We describe four projects at various locations and each time discusses the opportunities and challenges for the museum and the heritage community. We also specify for each practical example the role of the heritage professional working at the Dutch Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage (KIEN). With the description and analysis of concrete examples, this brochure offers insights to everyone working in the heritage sector and museums, as well as to students and teachers.
