Earlier this year, KIEN published A museum platform for intangible heritage , the English translation of which was also published in November. The collection discusses four co-creations by heritage communities and museums: an exhibition about circus culture in the Dutch Open Air Museum; an exhibition about the relationship between people, animals and tradition in the Natural History Museum in Rotterdam, the Craft Lab that takes place in various museums and an exhibition with young people from Arnhem.

Scientific employee Mark Schep gave two presentations and a workshop last month about KIEN's experiences with co-creations. In the Wine Museum in Arnhem at the symposium Involving Youth of Erfgoed Gelderland. And in Mainz at the conference Museums as Social Institutions: Trust and Communities of the Leibniz Center of Excellence for Museum Education. Mark's story focused on the exhibition #ThisisPrikko, a co-creation of the Dutch Open Air Museum, KIEN and the young people of Presikhaaf University. How did this process go and what are the points of attention in such a collaboration? Read more about this project and the three other co-creations in the publication.
